I have a slight complex with being a heart breaker. Rejection kills, and it sucks when I have to tell a nice guy to hit the road because I'm no longer interested. Honestly, I have a difficult time being the "mean girl" and hate hurting people's feelings. I had a previous boyfriend, whom I broke-up with two times -- and started dating again -- because he made me feel like I was making the mistake of my life. He was a great guy, but the roller coaster turned into a mess. By the end, I wound up just ignoring his phone calls and fell off the planet. That was the easier way to give him the "boot" without really having to confront the emotional ride again or being pulled back into the relationship.
Has anyone else ever felt this way and been too scared of giving up the nice girl image and tried to find ways of avoiding being a break-up bomb? Guys, where do you stand on this: would you rather be told the truth or just be left to wonder why she disappeared?
